THE VILULA TEA GARDEN
...it was a little tea room in my memories...ladies wearing white gloves and pretty hats; soft and mended old linens on the tables; and heirloom roses in crystal vases....lovely.

I wonder what they would look like scattered on an afghan? Thanks for participating in the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. Also, I just wanted to say that I lived in Newnan, GA for a wonderful year of my life. We lived in the Newnan Lofts and I taught at Newnan Crossing Elementary. In fact, it was such a wonderful year because that is where I learned to sew. An amazing lady, Mary Ann Reese, who is a retired Home Ec. teacher, taught me to sew.
ReplyDeleteI'm relatively new to sewing, so I haven't used Yoyos on anything yet. But I have a vision of doing them along the hem of a skirt!
ReplyDeleteYoyos! the first yo-yo giveaway I have seen, such a great idea. I would use them as hair do-dads in the softies I make. Cute.
ReplyDeleteI would be inspired to start a yo-yo bedspread, but my daughters would probably talk me into little pins or hair flower thingies.
ReplyDeleteI think the Yo Yos would be fun Christmas Ornaments, or the start of a doll quilt. Thanks for a chance to win. Jenny

I can think of at least 2 project immediately. As a base for a brooch with some lovely buttons and beads. And on cards - draw in a stem and some leaves and you have a great fower on a card.
ReplyDeleteThanks

Perhaps on a girl's skirt? My niece's birthday is coming up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely giveaway, fingers crossed :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway! I would make a little quilt and put them on there.
ReplyDeleteI am 8. I am learning how to sew. I have been doing some embroidery stitches. My 6 year old brother is learning some too. I hope to be on the machine before the end of summer. There are pictures of both of us sewing together and of our projects on my blog. Further down in previous posts, I also have pictures of my family, mom, dad, 15 month brother and other brother and sister. We homeschool.
I am having a giveaway as well at
www.sewingsister.blogspot.com
and so is my mom at www.sewingwithtrudy.blogspot.com
I would like to add them to purses.
ReplyDeleteI want to do a cushion.

ReplyDeleteYehudim[at]aol[dot]com
I would love to put those yo-yo's on a bunch of different things for my little boy. I'm planning on making him a bag to carry his library books in that needs a little jazzing up. I'm also in the process of making a diaper bag that needs some serious decoration!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have yo-yo's to add around the bottom of a boring jumper my daughter was given, and than make her a headband that matches!
ReplyDeleteI would love to add them to aprons for my daughter and myself. However, one of the comments mentioned pillows and they would be so cute. I made small pillows with a pocket on them for those in my family. We stick little "I love you notes" in them from time to time. The yo-yo's would look really cute to dress up the pillows.
ReplyDeleteThese would all be great accents on a purse or a tote! You can see the type of items I make at www.lalestyle.etsy.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to enter!
Time is on my side!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to win!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to make a yoyo garland for my niece's new "big-girl" room!
