THE VILULA TEA GARDEN
...it was a little tea room in my memories...ladies wearing white gloves and pretty hats; soft and mended old linens on the tables; and heirloom roses in crystal vases....lovely.

A Happy in the mail! Sew What!
Imagine my surprise when I opened the box on the porch and peeked inside! It wasn't from MY Flirty Apron Vintage Kitchen Linens swap partner, but a complete stranger and another Flirty apron swapper, Debra from New York!!! In the box was the most beautiful leopard tissue paper and sealed with a kiss! When I opened the paper, peeking out was pink and green polka-dots and eyelet!!! This beautiful apron! Of course my camera was acting up so I had to 'steal' Debra's photos from her Facebook page...hope she will forgive me! heehee
Attached by a loop of pretty rick-rack and a daisy button, was this delicious cross-stitched finger-tip towel! What a great idea!
And ties in back with a pretty bow! She also included lemon candies and a great recipe which I'll post below:
Debra's Veggie Quesadillas
Ingredients:
1 cup salsa
1 cup drained black beans, rinsed
1 zucchini,shredded
8 (6-inch) flour tortillas
3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (jalapeno style adds extra kick)
Pam
In medium bowl, combine salsa, beans, and zucchini. Spread 1/4 mixture over each of 4 tortillas. Top each portion with 3 Tablespoons cheese; cover with another tortilla.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat(spray with Pam. One at a time, cook each quesadilla (spray top tortilla with Pam before flipping), turning once, until cheese is melted. Cut each quesadilla in quarters; serve immediately.
Number of servings:
Four as an entree. Cut in quarters for appetizers.
Prep time: About 15 minutes

Thanks so much for those kind words! I'm so glad you like it so much. I'm still hoping, though, that your Flirty Apron Swap partner is going to come through.
ReplyDeleteI'm also hoping that I'll fit into my size 2 jeans again some day. As the days go by and the swap gets farther in my rear view mirror, both of these fantasies might come true on the same day: the 12th of Never.
well, as of today, May 12, it's still not here...I didn't wear a sz. 2 jeans when I was 2, teehee
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful - thank you Debra, for being such an angel!!
